About
Our Mission Statement
The Crump Institute's Molecular Imaging Technology Center provides state-of-the-art facilities for small animal imaging and radiochemistry. It functions both as a shared resource for UCLA investigators performing imaging research and radiopharmaceutical development, and as a hub for emerging imaging and radiochemistry technology development. The same technologies and services are also available to the larger research community including other academic institutes and industry groups through contract work.
Our innovative technologies have allowed our researchers to observe, measure and ultimately understand biological processes in vivo, assess animal models of health and disease, monitor and determine efficacy of novel therapies, and develop novel in vitro and in vivo biochemical and metabolic assays.
The Molecular Imaging Center is part of the Crump Institute for Molecular Imaging and is supported by the expertise of its faculty members, who are science and technology leaders in various molecular imaging disciplines.
